The Board of Directors of Assad Tunisian Battery Company is pleased to announce to the public that its new battery manufacturing plant in Algeria has been operational since March 2022.
The inauguration ceremony of the new factory took place under the high patronage of the President of the Republic of Algeria. Following this ceremony, an operational certificate was issued by the local authorities.
The premises of the new Bouira factory cover an area of 8,000 m² built on a plot of land of 22,700 m² acquired in 2017 in the new extension of the Oued El Bardi industrial zone in the Bouira wilaya, located 120 km east of Algiers. With a production capacity of 700,000 batteries per year, the new factory stands out by integrating the charging and formation process in battery manufacturing, in addition to the assembly initially integrated into the old Sidi Moussa factory.
The new factory aims to increase the turnover and profitability of the parent company, Assad Tunisian Battery, and its subsidiary, Assad Algeria Batteries, by taking advantage of the Algerian market, which represents approximately 6 million vehicles.
The completion of this major project enhances the growth and development prospects of the entire Group.
