A Green Future, Our Environmental Commitment

Lead-acid batteries used for automotive starting, traction, and stationary industrial applications, at the end of their life, become a polluting waste due to their composition: metallic lead and lead derivatives (oxides and sulfates), sulfuric acid, various contaminated plastics, and the presence of other heavy or toxic metals such as antimony, selenium, and arsenic.

If abandoned, they can pose a significant danger to human and animal health and become a major source of environmental pollution through atmospheric emissions, nearly irreversible soil contamination, and groundwater pollution. Contributing to the protection of nature and minimizing pollution sources from industry has always been a priority for ASSAD.
